Sweet dreams are made of this. Who am I to disagree?

For two nights in a row I dream of a friend who lives in the UK.

We met a few years ago. I know his family, he knows mine. We like each other, we get along but I wouldn’t consider him as a “close” friend. He is someone I really get along with and I really like as a person. And I am sure he feels the same. He is good looking but I have never been sexually attracted to him despite being very nice. Ok, to be honest I should add that we are both “taken” otherwise … well, the history is not made of ” what if”.

That said, I keep dreaming that we are together. And I know (in the dream) that it’s wrong but nonetheless there are kisses and even plans for travels! This is very strange. It has never happened to me before. I don’t know what to make of it.

  1. It is a dream. Full stop. He’s not one that you see every day, right? That would be different. Something strange happens when we dream, that does not mean we really want it. Maybe you just want to fly away from work and all the worries for a while, time for yourself when you do not think to anything at all, like a kid.
Ok I stop here, I am not a psychologist (and I dislike them!). If you add what I’ve studied AND that I a am a male… We think differently, you know…

  2. I’m kind of with Pietro on this. It was just a dream. Dreams are, by their very nature, fantasies, sometimes good, sometimes bad, sometimes strange or plain wierd. They aren’t supposed to make sense. Probably, by virtue of the fact that he is impossibly far away, he could be someone to “escape” with.

    I wouldn’t worry about it.

    • IF you both say so…it must be true! However, as Pietro pointed out, you are MALE 😉 Nothing wrong with being male, it’s just a different way of approaching fantasies and dreams. Anyway, no dreams last night 🙂

      • LOL – but I DIDN’T agree with Pietro on everything he said. The fact that I’m male has nothing to do with it. After all, someone was convinced I was female when reading my blog (Andy being used a a female name in the USA). I’m not one of these who actually believes we are that different. We are all made up of female and male characteristics and the mix is not always as you would expect 😀
